We are hiring an experienced Australian Mortgage Underwriter / Para Broker to support mortgage brokers with end-to-end loan processing and underwriting activities. The role involves evaluating borrower eligibility, preparing compliant loan submissions, coordinating with lenders, and ensuring seamless processing from application to settlement.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to Australian home loan processing, lender policy interpretation, serviceability assessment, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Processing & Para Broker Support
Support brokers with end-to-end Australian mortgage processing
Prepare loan submissions aligned with lender policies
Manage applications from lodgement to settlement
Maintain accurate borrower documentation and CRM updates
Liaise with lenders and internal stakeholders for application progress
Credit Assessment & Underwriting Support
Assess borrower eligibility using:
Income verification
Liabilities review
Credit report evaluation
Serviceability calculations
Review loan scenarios before submission
Identify risks and documentation gaps
Provide recommendations aligned with lender credit policies
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to Australian lending compliance requirements
Maintain accurate application documentation
Conduct preliminary fraud-risk checks
Support audit-ready documentation practices
Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with brokers and lenders for faster approvals
Provide proactive status updates
Support pre-approvals, conditional approvals, and settlements
