Job Description: A Site Manager (Civil) for a steel plant project is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring they are completed within budget, on time, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves managing complex infrastructure construction, heavy foundation work, and structural steel erection in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

- Site Supervision & Execution: Direct day-to-day construction activities, including civil works, structural steel erection, and industrial foundation work.
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop, implement, and monitor daily/weekly progress against the master project schedule.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Implement quality plans to ensure zero rework, inspecting materials and workmanship to meet project specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations on site.
- Contractor & Vendor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely material deliveries and productive work progress.
- Technical Compliance: Interpret engineering drawings and structural designs, ensuring all work is executed as per design specifications.
- Documentation & Reporting:



Prepare daily progress reports (DPR), material reconciliation statements, and maintain site records/registers.
- Budget & Cost Control: Monitor resource allocation to minimize wastage and manage project costs. Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in industrial civil projects, with specific experience in steel plants, PEB (Pre-Engineered Building), or heavy infrastructure.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera (for scheduling), and reinforced concrete construction.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills to manage large teams and external agencies. Key Deliverables in a Steel Plant Context

- Execution of industrial foundations for heavy equipment.
- Construction of RCC and steel structural buildings.
- Drainage systems, roads, and rail sidings construction.
- Coordination with mechanical and electrical teams during equipment installation
