Job Description: A Senior Accountant oversees an organization’s financial operations, including general ledger management, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. They ensure GAAP compliance, manage tax filings, conduct variance analysis, and often mentor junior staff. Typical requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in ERP software. Key Responsibilities

- Financial Reporting & Closing: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, producing accurate balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- General Ledger & Reconciliation: Manage the general ledger, performing complex account reconciliations to ensure accuracy .

- Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and state/federal regulations, including tax reporting (sales tax, payroll tax, VAT).
- Analysis & Budgeting: Analyze financial data, providing variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and supporting forecasting processes.
- Internal Controls & Audit:



Develop and maintain internal controls; prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Assist in directing, reviewing, and training junior accounting staff.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
- Experience: 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.
- Skills: Robust knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Tally).
- Attributes: High accuracy, detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
