We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mining Engineer to oversee quarry/mining operations with a solid focus on blasting supervision, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in drilling and blasting activities, possess sound knowledge of mining regulations, and be capable of coordinating site operations. Candidates with prior experience working as a Mining Foreman will be given preference.
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor all drilling and blasting operations in compliance with statutory safety regulations.
Plan, coordinate, and execute blasting activities to ensure protected and productive mineral extraction.
Ensure adherence to DGMS guidelines and other applicable mining laws and safety standards.
Monitor quarry operations, production targets, and equipment utilization.
Conduct pre-blast and post-blast inspections and maintain accurate blasting records.
Coordinate with contractors, machine operators, and site personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Identify and mitigate operational and safety risks at the mining site.
Maintain proper documentation related to blasting, production, and statutory compliance.
Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and mining resources.
Report operational progress and site performance to the management.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering.
Valid Mining Engineer/Blaster competency certification, if applicable.
Proven experience in blasting supervision in quarry or mining operations.
Previous experience as a Mining Foreman is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of mining safety standards, blasting techniques, and statutory compliance.
Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Willingness to work at the project site in Kasaragod.
