Role & responsibilities

Robust knowledge of neonatal care protocols (including NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
Competency in operating NICU equipment (incubators, ventilators, CPAP, syringe pumps, phototherapy units).
Compassion, patience, and emotional resilience to care for critically ill newborns.
Excellent observation, reporting, and critical thinking skills.
Robust communication skills to interact with doctors and parents effectively.
Provide round-the-clock nursing care to preterm, low birth weight, and critically ill neonates.
Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, ventilator support, IV infusions, and feeding tubes.
Assist neonatologists in procedures such as intubation, surfactant administration, line insertions, and resuscitation.
Administer prescribed medications, fluids, and nutrition accurately and safely.
Ensure aseptic techniques during all interventions to prevent neonatal infections.
