Who We Are Looking For

A senior research leader to head the Systematic Equity research team in Bangalore (10+ members), covering systematic equity strategies across a wide range of risk profiles, from active to indexing and custom solutions. The role combines robust people leadership and deep quantitative research credibility, with a focus on driving research excellence within a globally integrated innovation model.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing the team’s research productivity by overseeing a state-of-the-art research platform, embedding contemporary tools including AI-enabled workflows into day-to-day research, and strengthening model development and operational rigor. The role will also serve as a key anchor for State Street Investment Management’s emerging research partnerships in India.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Lead the Systematic Equity research team in Bangalore (10+ members) across Active, Indexing, and Custom Solutions — delivering high-quality research as part of a globally coordinated research platform.
Contribute to and oversee the local execution of the global research agenda, partnering with the global senior research leadership and PM/CPM teams across the US, EMEA, and APAC.
Drive research on alpha, core factors, index design, and portfolio construction — from idea generation through to production implementation.
