Role & responsibilities

The Automation Engineer will handle the full lifecycle of PLC and SCADA systems: design, development, communication integration, site commissioning, and handover for utility-scale renewable plants across India.

Preferred candidate profile (From Ahmedabad)

PLC Programming & Control Logic

• Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs in Ladder, Structured Text (ST), and Function Block Diagram (FBD).

• Configure I/O mapping, signal scaling, timers, counters, interlocks, and alarm logic.

• Implement and modify control logic as per project requirements and field conditions.

SCADA Development

• Develop SCADA graphics, mimics, trends, and alarm management.

• Configure tag databases, historian logging, and dashboards.

• Configure operator reports both fixed/standard formats and customer-specific requirements.





Communication & Networking

• Establish PLCSCADA and field-device communication.

• Configure and troubleshoot protocols: Modbus RTU & TCP/IP, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5 104, OPC UA, and OPC DA.

• Integrate field devices: MFM / energy meters, protection relays / IEDs (IEC 61850), inverters, WTG EMS, BMS / PCS for BESS, and weather / met stations.

• Configure managed Ethernet switches, fiber-optic (FO) networking, and media converters; set up IP schemes and ring topology (RSTP / MRP).

Database & Reporting

• Work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL for historian and configuration data.

• Develop and maintain reports using SSRS.
