Role Overview

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing the organizations legal affairs with a primary focus on litigation management, contract management, and compliance management. The role will also involve developing and optimizing compliance management tools, frameworks, and processes to strengthen the organizations legal and regulatory governance.

Key Responsibilities
Litigation Management
Manage and oversee all litigation, arbitration, and legal proceedings involving the company.
Coordinate with external counsel for case strategy, filings, and representation.
Monitor litigation timelines, filings and court appearances.
Maintain litigation trackers and provide regular status updates to management.
Evaluate legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Manage documentation and evidence required for legal proceedings.
Contract Management
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including MSA, vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, and customer contracts etc.
Ensure contracts align with company policies and legal requirements.
Support business teams during contract negotiations.




Develop and maintain standardized contract templates.
Maintain a centralized contract repository and tracking system (CLM Tool).
Compliance Management
Develop, implement, and monitor the companys compliance framework.
Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements.
Manage and coordinate for licenses, and statutory documentation.
Compliance Tools & Process Optimization
Design and implement compliance management tools and systems to track regulatory obligations and internal compliance activities.
Optimize compliance monitoring processes through digital tools and dashboards.
Maintain compliance trackers, reporting mechanisms, and escalation protocols.
Identify prospects for automation and improved compliance governance.
