As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Procurement Specialist with a background in Manufacturing or FMCG to join our procurement team in Djibouti.
/n Position Overview
/n We are seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 2–5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing engineering materials, spare parts, industrial equipment and production-related items to support manufacturing operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supplier management, negotiation and ensuring uninterrupted supply to production and maintenance teams.

/n Key Responsibilities

/n /n Source and procure engineering materials, industrial equipment, spare parts, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) items and production consumables.
/n Identify, evaluate and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
/n Obtain quotations, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate pricing and recommend cost-effective procurement solutions.
/n Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and procurement documentation.
/n Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Warehouse and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement.
/n Monitor supplier performance with respect to quality, cost and delivery.
/n Follow up on purchase orders and resolve supplier-related issues,



including delivery delays and quality concerns.
/n Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and documentation.
/n Ensure procurement activities comply with company procurement policies and procedures.

/n Identify opportunities for supplier development, cost reduction, and process improvement.

/n /n Mandatory Requirements
/n /n Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
/n 2–5 years of procurement experience within a Manufacturing or FMCG company.
/n Experience purchasing engineering spare parts, industrial equipment, mechanical or electrical components, maintenance materials and production consumables.
/n Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and purchasing best practices.
/n Robust negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
/n Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
/n Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
/n Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

/n Willingness to relocate to Djibouti.

/n ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
/n Vendor development and supplier performance management.
/n Import/export procurement activities.
/n Procurement within an edible oil, food manufacturing, FMCG, chemical, packaging or industrial manufacturing environment.
