Role Overview

The Senior Manager / GM – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for leading the organization’s finance, accounting, taxation, compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. This role plays a strategic and governance-focused part in supporting business growth, ensuring financial discipline, regulatory compliance, and effective financial controls across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

- Oversee end-to-end accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure.

- Prepare and review MIS, financial statements, balance sheets, P&L;, cash flow statements, and management reports.

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting as per Ind AS / IFRS / Companies Act requirements.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Control

- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.

- Monitor budget vs actuals, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.

- Strengthen cost controls and improve profitability and working capital efficiency.

Statutory, Taxation & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.

- Manage direct and indirect taxation (Income Tax, GST, TDS, Transfer Pricing where applicable).

- Liaise with statutory auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Audit & Internal Controls

- Lead statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits.

- Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems and SOPs.

- Address audit observations and ensure timely closure of audit points.

Treasury & Working Capital Management

- Manage cash flows, fund utilization,



banking operations, and credit facilities.

- Oversee receivables, payables, inventory, and overall working capital cycle.

- Support fund-raising, debt structuring, and banking negotiations as required.

Business Partnering & Strategic Support

- Act as a finance business partner to operations, sales, and leadership teams.

- Support pricing decisions, capex evaluations, feasibility studies, and ROI analysis.

- Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives, expansions, and M&A; (if applicable).

Team Leadership & Systems

- Lead and develop the Finance & Accounts team, ensuring capability building and performance management.

- Drive ERP/Finance system implementation or enhancements (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).

- Promote process automation, digital finance, and best practices.

Requirements

Skills & Competencies

- Robust expertise in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, and Compliance

- Sound knowledge of Ind AS, GST, Income Tax, Companies Act

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Leadership capability with experience managing multi-level teams

- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel/MIS tools

Qualifications & Experience

- CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute

- 12–18+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts

- Experience in mid to large-sized organizations (manufacturing/engineering preferred)

- Exposure to audits, banking, taxation, and regulatory compliance

- Experience working closely with CFO / Board is an added advantage
