Position Description Business Division CSM AgChem Department Commercial Location Vadodara Mumbai Position Title Team Member - Import Clearances and Inbound Logistics Level Junior Middle Management Reporting To Lead - Import Logistics Export Advantages and Port Warehouse Management Position Purpose The Team Member - Inbound logistics is responsible for timely clearance and movement of imported goods The role is responsible for activities such as coordinating with external agencies like CHAs Shipping lines Customs transporters and internal stakeholders like sourcing stores and finance team Strategic Responsibilities Plan and execute timely port clearance of imported raw materials for Panoli Jambusar and Udaipur locations Liaise with Government authorities to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements Operational Responsibilities Timely import clearance by coordinating with purchase and plant teams internally and customs and CHA externally Allocating shipments to CHAs verifying import check list ensuring timely filing of Bills of Entry and instructing to move material to plant or Bonded warehouse Coordinating with Banks and CHAs for timely delivery of original negotiable documents Duty payment request and follow up with Finance for payment Follow-up with transporter for timely placement of vehicles and monitor their performance Coordination with Bonded Warehouse for delivery and other issues Follow-up with Shipping line for DO Damage container other issues Resolution of Customs query as and when required Processing of CHAs and transporter invoices for timely payment to suppliers by coordinating with Accounts payable team Maintaining proper MIS to track department KPIs Involvement in execution and driving departmental initiatives for cost savings process improvement or IT enablement Financial Responsibilities People Responsibilities Education Qualification B Com M Com PG - MBA PGDM Graduate - Any specialization Master of International Business preferred Work Experience 10-12 years of experience in Imports Industry to be Hired from Preferable chemical pharma industry Functional Competencies Knowledge of SAP Sound Knowledge of Customs Bonded Warehouse and SEZ Interaction Complexity and Team Work Interaction Frequency Purpose of Interaction Internal Head Supply Chain Logistics Respective plant Stores Heads Monthly Daily Updating the monthly performance and statutory regulations Raw material planning and delivery issues External Customs Banks CHAs Transporters Shipping Lines As required Daily Query resolution and document availability For smooth import clearance and movement
