Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India, invites applications for Teaching Posts at Guru Gobind Singh from eligible and interested candidates.

About- The University invites applications in a prescribed format to fill up the posts of Assistant Professor on a Regular basis for the University School of Automation and Robotics (USAR) and the University School of Design and Innovation (USDI)

Location- Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India

Eligibility/Qualification– Assistant Professor (On Deputation/ Contract)

- For Deputation:

Teaching Faculty working under the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories or Public Sector Undertakings or industry (owned by Government) or Universities or Semi-Government or statutory or autonomous organizations. Besides fulfilling above criteria candidates applying on deputation should have following educational qualifications as given in ‘IV:-
- For Contract:
- Educational Qualifications : (As per UGC Regulation 2018)
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading System is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University. or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.




- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:

Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions OR

B. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Job/Position Description- Online applications are invited to fill-up the Teaching posts of Assistant Professor (on Contract basis) in following University School of Studies.

Fee: Rs.1,500/- for UR, EWS and OBC candidates and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates separately or each category of post through Online Mode at the time of filling online applications. If a candidate is applying for more than one post, he/she should submit separate fee for each application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: – Only online submitted applications alongwith its hardcopy with copy of educational, experience, publications etc. as annexure will be accepted.



Separate online applications should be filled in online mode only for each posts/discipline/school followed by submission of Hardcopy/print out of filled application form alongwith relevant annexure (separate hardcopy for each applied posts), failing which the application (s) is /are liable to be rejected.

The Opening Date and closing date for receipt of online applications and its hardcopy with annexure are as under:-

Opening Date for Submission of Online applications: – 11th June, 2025

Closing Date for Submission of Online applications: – 07th July, 2025 upto 23.50 hrs.

Closing Date for receiving of hard copy of Applications: – 14th July, 2025 upto 5.00 PM
