Role Description The Senior Legal Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune District. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and legal documents, and providing legal opinions on corporate and commercial matters acting as a fractional in-house counsel for our Clients.

Associate will research complex legal issues, support transactional and regulatory assignments, and assist in dispute resolution strategies and case preparation. The role includes liaising with clients, external counsel, and regulatory authorities, managing multiple matters simultaneously, and mentoring junior team members as needed.

Qualifications

- Qualified legal professional with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, either in-house or with a reputed law firm.



Graduation from a recognised university is preferred.
- Robust legal research, analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to identify legal issues, assess commercial and legal risks, and prepare practical, business-oriented documentation and advice.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial contracting, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on agreements such as Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Work Orders, licensing, support and maintenance, service level, partner, reseller, referral, teaming, end-user and non-disclosure agreements.
- Prior experience supporting large technology or multinational organisations will be preferred, either in commercial contracting (including application outsourcing, IT services, SaaS transactions, RFPs and related commercial agreements) or in advising on employment law matters, including employment documentation, workplace policies, statutory compliance, employee relations, disciplinary proceedings, workplace investigations, performance management, terminations, restructuring and general HR legal advisory.
- Sound understanding of contract law, commercial legal principles, contract lifecycle management, negotiation strategies, and legal risk mitigation in a corporate environment.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders while managing competing priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering commercially pragmatic outcomes.
- Self-motivated and proactive professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and global teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong ownership, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and consistently performs in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
