Role Description The Senior Academic Counselor is a full time, on-site role based at Blitz Academy’s Kochi campus. This role involves guiding prospective and current learners through course selection, academic planning, and career pathways in domains such as oil & gas, logistics, MEP, QA/QC, and Data science.The Senior Academic Counselor will conduct individual and group counseling sessions, respond to inquiries, and provide clear information about programs, certifications, and accreditation.





Daily responsibilities include assessing learner needs, maintaining accurate counseling records, coordinating with faculty and administration, and supporting admission and retention initiatives. The role also includes organizing orientation programs, workshops, and outreach activities, while ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for learners from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

- Strong Student Counseling skills with experience supporting learners in professional and technical education environments.
- Excellent Communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication and effective interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Career Counseling, helping learners understand industry trends, job roles, and placement opportunities.
- Experience in Academic Advising, including course selection guidance and educational planning aligned with learner goals.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse learner groups and handle sensitive academic and personal issues professionally.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Comfort with using computers and educational CRM or student information systems for counseling and follow-up.
- Prior experience in a training institute or skill development organization is an advantage.
