Job Summary The Operations Head is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role ensures compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, quality standards, production targets, and operational efficiency while coordinating with production, quality, maintenance, procurement, and regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

- Plan, organize, and supervise daily manufacturing operations.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Monitor productivity, equipment utilization, and process efficiency.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, WHO-GMP, Schedule M, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments during audits and inspections.
- Maintain proper documentation and SOP compliance.

Quality Management

- Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications.
- Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
- Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

Team Leadership

- Lead and supervise production, warehouse, maintenance, and support teams.
- Conduct employee training on SOPs, GMP, hygiene, and safety.
- Monitor team performance and encourage continuous improvement.

Inventory & Supply Chain
- Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and reduce material wastage.

Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety reviews.





Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare production reports, MIS reports, and operational performance metrics.
- Review batch manufacturing records and operational documentation.
- Present operational updates to senior management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in BMS or equivalent medical/health sciences qualification.
- Additional certification in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, GMP, or Operations Management is preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements.

Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or healthcare operations.
- Minimum 2–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience with GMP, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality systems.
- Understanding of WHO-GMP, Schedule M, SOPs, and documentation practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple departments and prioritize operational goals.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position based at the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
- May require extended working hours during audits, inspections, or critical production schedules.
- Frequent interaction with production, QA, QC, maintenance, regulatory affairs, and senior management.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
