About the Project eQOURSE is developing high-quality UK curriculum-aligned Chinese History and Geography content for KS3, KS4/IGCSE and KS5/A-Level. Content must be academically accurate, age-appropriate, specification-aligned, written in standard British English, and ready for direct client use.

We are hiring experienced freelancers across three levels for this ongoing project.

Role Overview

Conduct the first detailed academic review of AI-generated questions, answers, explanations, tags and difficulty levels. Identify errors, correct content, improve clarity, and ensure full curriculum alignment before escalation.

Key Responsibilities

- Review questions, answers, explanations and sources for factual and subject accuracy
- Validate chronology, interpretations and evidence (History) or maps, statistics, case studies and concepts (Geography)
- Check command words, distractors, mark allocation and answer defensibility
- Correct errors directly in working files and ensure accuracy of tables, maps, diagrams and labels
- Use standard British English and flag bias, weak sourcing or stage-inappropriate content
- Escalate major concerns to the Subject Head

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Education or related field
- Proven experience in academic content review, teaching or assessment




- UK curriculum / Cambridge / Pearson Edexcel / OxfordAQA experience preferred
- Familiarity with Chinese history or geography desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

2. Subject Head – History / Geography

Role Overview

Perform second-level review, manage SME quality, and take full ownership of subject-level academic standards before content moves to the Academic Department Head.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and approve all content post-SME correction
- Ensure appropriate curriculum coverage, progression and difficulty across KS3–KS5
- Verify accuracy of questions, answers, mark schemes, sources, maps, timelines and visuals
- Resolve academic disagreements and return incomplete work to SMEs
- Detect gaps, repetition, tagging errors, weak evidence or cultural bias
- Maintain consistency in terminology, British English and treatment of evidence

Requirements

- Master's degree in History, Geography, Education or related discipline
- Strong teaching, assessment, curriculum or educational publishing experience
- Demonstrable UK curriculum experience at KS3, KS4/IGCSE and/or KS5/A-Level preferred
- Experience leading reviewers or content-development teams
- Familiarity with Chinese history/geography desirable

3. Academic Department Head – Social Sciences

Role Overview





Final internal academic authority and delivery gatekeeper for all Chinese History and Geography content. No material is sent to the client without your approval.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate curriculum-aligned questions using approved AI workflows
- Prepare accurate answers, worked solutions, explanations, tagging and difficulty levels
- Create/regenerate academically accurate visuals (maps, diagrams, graphs)
- Conduct first-level academic review and final end-to-end audit
- Ensure consistency across papers, mark schemes, sources, metadata and tagging
- Identify high-risk factual, interpretive or compliance issues and stop delivery if required
- Set review standards, calibrate teams and maintain final approval records

Requirements

- Master's degree or higher in History, Geography, Social Sciences, Education or related field
- Extensive experience in curriculum, assessment, academic publishing or content quality leadership
- Solid knowledge of UK curriculum expectations across KS3–KS5
- Experience managing Subject Heads and multidisciplinary academic teams
- Familiarity with Chinese history and geography desirable

Mandatory Requirements (All Roles)

- Minimum 4–5 hours availability per day
- Long-term project commitment
- Willingness to complete a screening task
- NDA compliance required
