Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, MP, India invites applications for Faculty Positions (Regular) in IISER from eligible and interested candidates.
About- IISER Bhopal, an Institute of National importance, established by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India for fostering science education and research in frontier areas, invites applications for the vacant faculty positions in various departments in the specified areas only. Faculty Positions (Regular) in IISER
Research/Job Area- Applicants must have specialization in the thrust areas of relevant departments (see Annexure-A on official portal). Candidates are expected to have an excellent academic record and a proven track record of outstanding research ability.

Eligibility/Qualification-
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline/area/branch with a first-class or equivalent at the preceding degree.
- Excellent academic record throughout and demonstrated outstanding research ability.
- At least three years of post-PhD experience in industrial/research/teaching roles.
- Desirable age: 35 years (with relaxations as per GoI guidelines).
- Relaxation in criteria for exceptionally meritorious candidates, as approved by the competent authority.
Job/Position Description- Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)
Bhopal is inviting applications from candidates with excellent academic and research credentials for the post of Assistant Professor under a Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwD categories. This initiative emphasizes diversity, inclusivity, and excellence in research and teaching. Component Details Basic Pay Level Level 12 – ₹1,01,500/- initial pay Higher Placement Pay Level 13A1 – ₹1,31,400/- (after 3 years, performance-based) Perquisites/Allowances DA, HRA, TA, Telephone reimbursement, as per GoI/Institute norms Accommodation Campus housing or HRA as per Institute rules Pension Covered under New Pension Scheme (NPS) Moving Expenses Up to ₹1,25,000/- (abroad) or ₹75,000/- (within India) CPDA (Skilled Fund) ₹1,00,000 per year (reimbursement, for conferences, books, etc.) Phone Reimbursement Up to ₹2,250/- p.m. (Level 12 & 13A1) LTC By Air, as per Government of India rules Medical &
Education Reimbursement per Institute/GoI rules (self & dependents)
- Conduct high-quality research and develop an independent research program.
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in relevant disciplines.
- Contribute to departmental, institutional, and outreach activities.
- Participate in academic administration and student mentorship.
- Promote inclusion and diversity in teaching, research, and service.
