Strong presentation skills We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Designer with experience in retail environments to design and optimize the interior space of our hardware store. The ideal candidate will combine aesthetic flair with practical, functional design to enhance customer experience, improve product visibility, and drive sales. The role involves space planning, fixture design, lighting, and creating an engaging retail narrative. Key Responsibilities:

- Design & Space Planning: Create functional, aesthetic, and safe layouts, optimizing the store for customer flow and product accessibility.
- Fixture & Display Design: Design custom, on-brand fixtures, shelving, and displays to showcase hardware tools and products effectively.

- Project Management: Oversee store design projects from concept to completion, including renovating existing spaces or designing new ones.
- Visual Merchandising: Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to create displays that align with current trends, seasonal promotions, and brand identity.
- Material Selection: Source high-quality, durable materials, fixtures, and lighting solutions suited for a high-traffic retail environment.

- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and installers to ensure timely and accurate implementation of designs.
- Budgeting:



Work within defined project budgets and timelines to deliver cost-effective and high-quality results.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all designs and layouts comply with safety regulations, building codes, and accessibility standards.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5+ years of experience, preferably in commercial or retail store design.

- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D modeling/rendering software, and Microsoft Office.
- Industry Knowledge: Robust understanding of retail merchandising, lighting, material selection, and hardware products.
- Creativity: Proven ability to create visually appealing and functional spaces.

- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with stakeholders and vendors.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous retail or commercial projects. Enfield +4
