Role Description This is a part time, remote Brand Protection Investigator (Freelance) – Field Work role focused on safeguarding client brands from counterfeiting, fraud, and unauthorized use. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field visits to retail outlets, warehouses, and other locations to verify product authenticity, gather evidence, and document observations.

The role involves performing discreet investigations, interviewing relevant parties when required, and preparing clear, factual reports with photographic and documentary proof. The investigator will coordinate with internal teams and clients, follow agreed protocols, and maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards while working independently. Schedules are flexible but may require occasional travel within assigned regions and responsiveness to time-sensitive assignments.

Qualifications

- Strong investigative and research skills, including field verification,



evidence gathering, and basic interviewing techniques.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing documents, products, and patterns of brand misuse.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, documenting findings, and communicating with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
- Comfort with using smartphones, cameras, and basic productivity tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) for documentation and reporting.
- Understanding of or interest in brand protection, anti-counterfeiting measures, compliance, or risk management; prior field investigation experience is an advantage.
- Professional conduct, high ethical standards, and commitment to confidentiality and non-discriminatory practices.
- Reliable access to transportation for field work and willingness to travel within designated areas as needed.
- Relevant educational background in any discipline; training or certifications in investigation, security, or compliance are beneficial.
