Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor role in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and CSE allied streams (Cyber Security, Internet of Things (IoT)), based at MSIT in Kolkata. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions, designing and updating course materials, and assessing learners through assignments, projects, and examinations.

The Assistant

Professor will support research and publication activities, and participate in departmental initiatives and academic events.

Responsibilities also include mentoring learners, contributing to curriculum development, engaging in continuous professional development, and collaborating with colleagues on institutional objectives.

Qualifications

Solid academic background in Computer Science and Engineering, with a relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Tech, M.E., MS);





Demonstrated knowledge and Expert in Either of the following 4 sections:

Section 1: Experience or Expert in Core CSE subjects such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating

Systems and Programming languages (C, C++, JAVA).

Section 2: Experience or Expert in Cybersecurity domain (Network Security, Information Security

Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing, Malware Analysis and Blockchain, Cryptography.

Section 3: Experience or Expert in Cloud Computing domain (Virtualization and Containerization,

DevOps and DevSecOps, Docker & Kubernetes, Platforms-AWS, MS Azure/ Google CP)

Section 4: Experience or Expert in IoT domain (IoT Architecture, Embedded Systems- Arduino,

Raspberry Pi, ESP32 / ESP8266, ARM-based Microcontrollers, Cloud IoT Platforms)

Effective teaching, communication, and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and use varied instructional methods.

Ability to conduct research, publish in academic journals or conferences, and contribute to funded projects or collaborative research initiatives.

Competence in academic assessment, curriculum development, and use of educational technologies and learning management systems.

Commitment to ethical practices, learner-centered teaching, inclusivity, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary academic setting.
