JOB TITLE: Consultant, Assurance Review Management
(Energy) Closing Date: 23 Aug Location: India Contract Type:
Consultant Length of Consultancy: 12 months The Consultant,
Assurance Review Management (Energy) plays a critical role in
ensuring the integrity, credibility, and quality of Gold Standard
certified projects. The role supports the end-to-end assurance
review process for energy-related projects by applying standards,
methodologies, and verification requirements. Please note we
reserve the right to close this role early WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Working closely with internal technical teams, Validation and
Verification Bodies (VVBs), and external stakeholders, the role
contributes to continuous improvement of assurance processes,
strengthens quality control mechanisms, and enhances the
effectiveness of certification systems. The role also supports
governance reporting, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building
to ensure consistent and high-quality assurance outcomes. The Gold
Standard Foundation seeks a suitably qualified consultant who can
work independently to support the team with the following tasks /
deliverables during a 12-month assignment. WHAT WILL BE YOUR
DELIVERABLES: Review project documentation and emission reduction
calculations against certification requirements. Identify
non-conformities and recommend corrective actions. Support
validation, verification, and assurance review processes. Prepare
reports and insights for governance and decision-making bodies.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve
technical queries. Contribute to process improvement, digital MRV
initiatives, and quality enhancement activities. Support training,
onboarding, and capability development across the assurance
function. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 3+ years' experience in
assurance, auditing,
certification systems, or related review
functions. Knowledge of carbon standards, sustainability
certification systems, or verification frameworks. Experience
working with renewable energy, energy efficiency, or other
low-carbon projects. Strong analytical skills with the ability to
review technical documentation and data. Excellent stakeholder
management, communication, and report-writing skills. Experience
with process improvement and digital systems is advantageous.
Knowledge of carbon markets, climate finance, and SDGs is
desirable. Compensation Range The salary for this role will be
commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful
candidate must be able to legally work as an independent
