Role & responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Develop strategies for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating for raw materials (scrap, ferroalloys, coal) and engineering consumables.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including raising Purchase Orders (POs), managing, and reconciling vendor invoices.
Cost Control & Market Analysis: Monitor market trends (e.g., London Metal Exchange) and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize procurement costs.
Inventory & Logistics: Manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking, ensuring smooth production.
Compliance:



Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO/IMS), safety protocols, and import regulations.

Preferred candidate profile
Experience: 8+ years in the steel, TMT, or fabrication industry.
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP MM, Tally) and MS Office (Excel).
Competencies: Solid negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel grades, procurement cycles, and supply chain management.
