Roles and Responsibilities

Job description for Welder:

 Min 5 Years’ experience in Heat resistant and corrosive resistant steel casting welding (Like HK,HF,CF8, Duplex).

 Should have knowledge in section of welding rod size based on application

 Should have knowledge in DP & RT repair welding

 Should have experience in SMAW and TIG welding process

 Should have valuable vision, steady hand and Hand-Eye coordination

Welders are skilled workers who join metal parts together or repair metal components using intense heat. Their responsibilities include:
Reading blueprints: Welders read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the dimensions of parts to be welded.
Preparing parts: Welders use power saws to cut material to match measurements,



and use angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
Welding: Welders use manual or semiautomatic equipment to weld components in various positions.
Monitoring: Welders monitor the welding process and adjust heat as necessary.
Inspecting: Welders inspect materials and structures for welding, and assess the quality of welds to identify flaws.
Repairing: Welders repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
Maintaining: Welders maintain welding equipment and machinery.
Following safety regulations: Welders follow strict safety regulations.

Welders work in industrial, manufacturing, and construction industries. Some welders even work underwater, repairing the structures of oil rigs.
