Job description

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities - Work with project management team to achieve technical request, project timing and cost target, support engineering in new product development (Joint development, private labelling and etc.). - Drive low cost localization (such as south Asia, south-east Asia or etc), outsourcing and VAVE projects and develop capability of local supplier according to business needs. - Drive TE operating advantage (TEOA) project to improve supplier performance.



- Drive and track closely global procurement compliance project based on corporate policy and coordinate with in/outside stake holders to achieve target. - Establish, perform and monitor the regional sourcing strategy for key commodities and facilitate the global commodity strategies. - Align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, operation, product management and functional owners. - Execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and for assigned commodities among different regions and product lines for optimal TE leverage. - Strengthen cross BU collaboration in synergy benefit. Critical Experience - At least 3 years of direct material or indirect (production assets) sourcing experience in transnational manufacturing companies - At least 2 years of souring experience in at least one of the categories including automation equipment, tooling/fixture, machining parts or electrical parts - Bachelors degree. Engineering degree is preferred - Skillful in data analysis - Compliance & controlling related capability preferred - Rapid learner in new product and new technology - Strong negotiation skills - Team player, willing to lead and persuade - Computer knowledge MS-Office, SAP MM module is desirable - English language skills in speech and writing - Time zone flexibility and ability to travel (e.g. 10-25 PERCENT )
