Objective / Purpose of the Department

- Owns the country airfreight budget. Manages the balance between market competitive procurement, market competitive pricing, customer experience and operational performance, cost and productivity.
- Develops and maintains solid business relationships with the national airfreight industry including core suppliers and industry bodies where applicable.
- Actively drive business growth and sustainable new customers in close cooperation with BD.
- Manages the Airfreight operational structure to ensure adequate service quality and profitability.
- Monitors financial and operational performance and align with regions and global airfreight product on actions, initiatives, and strategy.
- Ensures compliance with industry regulations and internal policies

- Owns the country airfreight budget. o Ensure that the country airfreight activity achieves its yearly financial objectives and improves its performance through time.
- Ensures market competitive procurement through the procurement function.
- Ensure market competitive pricing through the country pricing function.
- Manages operational costs to the lowest level possible without jeopardizing operational performance through the Process function.
- Drive and Execute Airfreight strategy.
- Support the global and regional airfreight strategy. Develop and execute a local plan that mirrors the global, regional, and country strategic objectives.
- Airfreight Product development.
- Support Regional and Global Airfreight product development initiatives.
- Develop country relevant products,



plan and execute new initiatives and use and adapt global market outlook/ information and share same with country product and BD levels in your country.

Key Activities / Accountabilities

General accountability:

The Airfreight country head is responsible for the overall management and optimization of the Airfreight im- and export activities under his/her responsibilities. This includes local procurement management, pricing management and process management.

This includes:

- Procurement and local procurement strategies
- Drive down NAR through lowest possible levels without jeopardizing customer Transit time requirements.
- Local Supplier Performance Management (e.g. QBR`s)
- Ensure quality and completeness for pricing for origin and destination charges in scope.
- Ensure competitiveness of airport-to-airport pricing in line with volume and yield strategy.

Scope and Influence

For the defined scope, the Airfreight country head is accountable for the overall management and supervision of his/her assigned scope.

- Ensure an optimal GP as result of best possible procurements efforts and selling based on end-to-end customer requirements.
- Supervision and execution of the carrier strategy as well as maturing and accelerating local supplier relationship management.
- Engagement with local sales and BD..
- Productive communication and action on deviation of country airfreight budget, volume budget, and market developments towards internal and external stakeholders.
- Manages the sizing of the airfreight teams and the quality of the execution.
