This role is for someone who will guide toddlers and young learners during their early years in school. The teacher must be gentle, patient, and able to see each child as a unique person. The teacher will create a space where children feel protected, free, and happy to learn at their own pace.Main ResponsibilitiesCreating the EnvironmentSet up a neat, safe, and inviting classroom that suits the needs of toddlers and young childrenMake sure the materials are in good condition and placed in a way that helps children choose and work on their ownChange and refresh the materials from time to time based on what the children needObserving and Understanding ChildrenWatch the children closely to understand what they are interested in and what they are ready forKeep simple notes about each child's work and progressUse what you see to decide what to show each child nextGuiding the ChildrenShow the children how to use the materials, one at a time, with care and clarityGive space and time for each child to repeat and exploreSupport the children in learning to care for themselves, for others, and for the space around themWorking with Parents and the TeamTalk to parents kindly and clearly about their child's needs and growthBe open to learning and growing as a teacherWork closely with other teachers to keep the environment peaceful and supportiveWho We Are Looking ForMontessori trained (AMI / IMTC preferably)Loves being with young children and respects their pace and choicesHas a quiet and steady presenceGood at observing and patient in actionWilling to learn and grow along with the childrenIf this role speaks to you and you wish to walk alongside children in their formative years, please write to [email protected] or call us at (phone hidden).
