Job Title: Counter Sales Person

Job Summary

The Counter Sales Person is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter, understanding their hardware and construction material requirements, recommending suitable products, preparing quotations and invoices, and ensuring excellent customer service while achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and understand their hardware requirements.
- Recommend suitable products based on customer needs.
- Prepare quotations, sales orders, and invoices.
- Explain product features, specifications, and pricing.
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Maintain product displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked.
- Coordinate with the warehouse for product availability and dispatch.
- Assist customers with product selection and alternatives when stock is unavailable.
- Build and maintain good relationships with contractors, electricians, plumbers, fabricators, and retail customers.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and pending quotations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales counter.




- Maintain accurate records of sales and customer information.
- Support inventory checks and stock audits when required.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to store growth.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of hardware products, tools, fasteners, plumbing, electrical, paints, or construction materials.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with billing software/ERP.
- Good numerical and billing accuracy.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced retail environment.
- Sales and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

- Minimum: Higher Secondary (12th Pass); Diploma or Bachelor's degree is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of experience in a hardware, building materials, or retail sales environment is preferred.
- Freshers with good product knowledge and communication skills may also be considered.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
