Senior Associate - Indirect Tax

Location: Mumbai

Qualification: Lawyer / Chartered Accountant

Experience: 3 - 6 years (Indirect Tax & Customs - Advisory & Litigation)

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead research and analysis on Indirect Tax / GST databases with robust technical depth and accuracy.
- Interpret case laws, analyse regulatory developments, and advise on their implications for complex client matters.
- Demonstrate advanced drafting skills and independently prepare opinions, submissions, and litigation documents (most critical).
- Mentor junior team members, review their work, and guide them on technical and procedural aspects.
- Prepare comprehensive updates on sectoral trends, amendments, and judicial precedents for internal and client circulation.
- Drive quick, in-depth research to support advisory, compliance, and litigation assignments.




- Contribute to business development initiatives including proposal preparation, client pitches, knowledge papers, and strengthening client relationships.

Required Skill Sets:

- Strong expertise in Indirect Tax Laws including Tax Restructuring, Advisory & Consulting, GST, Foreign Trade Policy, and Customs Law.
- Ability to independently handle appeals, writ petitions, drafting of opinions, replies to SCNs, appeals, writs, SLPs, and brief counsels & senior counsels.
- Capability to oversee multiple matters simultaneously while ensuring technical quality and timely outputs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
