JOB SUMMARY

As an Admissions Counsellor at DegreeCraft, you will be the most important person in a student's journey. DegreeCraft is India's first outcome-driven education admissions platform. We guide post-12th students and working professionals from course discovery to enrollment, match them to scholarships they qualify for, and fund the remaining gap with India's most affordable education loan at 2% per semester.

You will work directly with students and their families — many of them first-generation college entrants from Tier 2/3 cities — helping them make the most significant decision of their lives: what to study, where, and how to afford it. Your job is to get that answer right, not to close a sale as fast as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students via in-person, phone, and video calls
- Understand each student's academic background, interests, career goals, and financial situation
- Use DegreeCraft's AI-powered platform to shortlist best-fit courses and UGC-approved universities
- Run eligibility checks across NSP, state schemes, and 200+ corporate grant programmes — before discussing any loan




- Explain DegreeCraft's loan products clearly and honestly to students and parents
- Guide students through the loan application process
- Maintain consistent follow-up through the admission and onboarding journey
- Organise group information sessions and webinars for student communities
- Collaborate with the platform and product teams by sharing real student feedback
- Monitor student progress post-enrollment and flag concerns to the student success team

QUALIFICATIONS

─────────────────────────────────

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Psychology, Education, Commerce, or related fields preferred)
- Post Graduation is an advantage but not mandatory
- 1–3 years of experience in education counselling, EdTech, admissions, or student support
- Familiarity with online/distance learning platforms is a strong plus
- Willingness to learn DegreeCraft's platform and loan products thoroughly

- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi and Punjabi
- Genuine empathy and active listening — you care about the student's outcome
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities




- Knowledge of Indian higher education systems, UGC regulations, and scholarship programmes
- Comfort with CRM tools, digital platforms, and video counselling software
- Time management and ability to handle multiple student cases simultaneously
- Conflict resolution and the ability to manage anxious students and parents with calm
