About the Role

We're looking for a highly creative and experienced Video Editor who understands political storytelling—not someone who simply cuts clips together.

This role is for a visual storyteller, creative thinker, and editor who can independently understand a campaign's objective, build an engaging narrative, and deliver impactful content without requiring step-by-step instructions.

If you naturally think like a creator, filmmaker, and strategist, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

- Edit high-quality political campaign videos, speeches, documentaries, advertisements, and social media content.
- Develop compelling storylines and pacing based on the available footage.
- Understand political narratives, audience psychology, and emotional storytelling.
- Select the best shots, transitions, music, sound effects, and motion graphics to maximize impact.
- Take ownership of projects from raw footage to the final edit.
- Suggest creative concepts, visual treatments, and editing styles instead of waiting for directions.
- Maintain consistency across campaign branding and messaging.
- Deliver content optimized for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with designers, content writers, and strategists to produce high-performing campaign content.

Requirements

- 2–3+ years of professional video editing experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing political, election, campaign,



documentary, or news-style edits.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, cinematic pacing, rhythm, and emotional editing.
- Ability to independently visualize the final output before editing begins.
- Excellent sense of music selection, sound design, and visual composition.
- Experience creating short-form, long-form, and social media content.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
