About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to take end-to-end ownership of our website ecosystem. This role demands strong technical expertise to build scalable landing pages, optimize website performance, and ensure a seamless user experience for high-traffic EdTech platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Landing Page Development

- Build high-performance, scalable, and conversion-focused landing pages
- Develop custom themes and reusable components for rapid deployment
- Integrate marketing tools (CRM, analytics, automation platforms)
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness

Website Ownership & Architecture

- Act as the technical custodian of the website, ensuring stability and scalability
- Define and maintain website architecture and best practices
- Manage staging, production environments, and deployment workflows
- Collaborate across teams to align tech with business goals

Website Performance & Optimization

- Implement advanced performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, caching, CDN integration)
- Continuously monitor and improve site speed and uptime
- Debug and resolve complex performance bottlenecks
- Optimize database queries and backend performance

Frequent Updates & Maintenance

- Manage regular updates of WordPress core, plugins, and themes
- Implement secure coding practices and maintain website security
- Ensure automated backups and disaster recovery processes
- Roll out new features, pages,



and integrations efficiently

Technical Skills & Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience in building custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Expertise in REST APIs, third-party integrations, and headless WordPress (optional but preferred)
- Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, performance tuning, and caching mechanisms (Redis, Varnish, etc.)
- Experience with CDNs (Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with high-traffic websites

EdTech-Specific Expectations

- Experience working on course platforms, LMS integrations, or learning portals
- Understanding of user journeys for lead generation and course enrollments
- Ability to optimize pages for high conversion and student engagement

Positive to Have

- Experience with WooCommerce or payment gateway integrations
- Knowledge of SEO technical implementation
- Exposure to React / modern frontend frameworks
