Roles and Responsibilities

You will:

- Assist in ongoing research related to online advertisements, social networks, and digital platforms.
- Extract data through APIs and manage large-scale datasets.
- Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, validation, and database management.
- Analyze large, distributed datasets (tens of terabytes) in cloud environments.
- Apply data science, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and social network analysis techniques.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, visualization, and reporting.




- Review academic literature, summarize findings, and contribute to research documentation.
- Collaborate with faculty on research projects and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications

- Strong academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or related disciplines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputed institution with robust academic performance.
- Prior research or industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills

- Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) and/or R.
- Experience working with APIs and data extraction pipelines.
- Good understanding of cloud computing environments and distributed systems.
- Experience handling large-scale datasets and big-data workflows.
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and data science workflows.
- Exposure to natural language processing and social network analysis is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, ability to multitask, and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work diligently on repetitive but critical project tasks.




- Strong motivation to pursue research and/or a future PhD.
