Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead / Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF) to design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend architecture, REST API development, database optimization, cloud deployment, and up-to-date software engineering practices. The role requires strong technical ownership, problem-solving ability, and experience working in an agile product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs for web applications, mobile platforms, and third-party integrations.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and efficient backend architectures following coding best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Design and optimize relational and non-relational databases,



including schema design and query optimization.
- Implement asynchronous processing, background jobs, and task scheduling using Celery or similar frameworks.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Follow security, data privacy, and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical architecture decisions.
- Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and industry best practices.

Required QualificationsExperience

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Strong professional experience with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF) is mandatory.
- Proven experience designing scalable backend systems and REST APIs.
- Experience working on product-based or enterprise applications preferred.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
