The Sr. Associate, Import Export Operations, is responsible for optimizing import and export activities within Alcon's supply chain. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, managing documentation, optimizing logistics processes, monitoring inventory, and collaborating with global teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Import & Export Operations

- Perform specialized tasks and independent research to optimize import/export processes.
- Support lead associates by overseeing specific projects and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and internal SOPs.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate documentation for shipments and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate rates with carriers, track freight movements, handle payments, and perform audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse teams to maintain supply chain efficiency.

Supply Chain Strategy & Analytics

- Analyze, develop, and implement long-term supply chain strategies to address capacity and production location decisions.
- Support execution of recent programs, including product launches, promotions, and network redesigns.
- Monitor KPIs such as cost-to-serve and service levels; coordinate cross-functional teams to improve performance.




- Identify trends and potential issues through Control Tower operations and proactively resolve them.

Systems & Tools

- Utilize Blue Yonder FOM and TMS systems for transportation planning.
- Leverage ERP systems (SAP or relevant platforms) for integrations with carriers and visibility tools.
- Apply advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and SAP BI reporting for data analysis.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

- Adhere to GxP regulations, maintain rigorous quality control, and follow SOPs.
- Complete all required training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all actions align with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Key Requirements / Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of total professional experience; 4+ years in relevant supply chain or logistics roles.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Blue Yonder.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP system integrations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and SAP BI reporting.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics and import/export operations.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, understanding, and communication).
