Role Overview:As a member of BTVK Advisory, you will be part of a leading advisory firm with specialized professionals who guide clients through the ever-changing business world, helping them succeed in the present and plan for the future. BTVK Advisory operates across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and is affiliated with Baker Tilly US, LLP, an independent member of Baker Tilly International.Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional service to clients by offering basic accounting and financial reporting support under direct supervision, ensuring responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism, and accuracy.- Deliver accounting services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.- Assist the team in meeting client deliverables, aiding in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.- Work independently to help clients with financial transactions using cloud-based accounting tools, address basic accounting and software queries, and escalate issues as necessary.- Manage conflicting deadlines and priorities efficiently, communicate progress with clients and supervisors, and meet client service expectations by delivering quality and timely results within the specified timeframe.- Follow defined processes and procedures, address queries from team members and clients promptly,
and maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles to apply knowledge gained from one client engagement to another.- Keep pace with technological advancements on relevant platforms and pursue certifications as guided by your supervisor.Qualifications:- Possess a Bachelors degree with a major in accounting or a related field.- Ideally have a minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field, with a preference for previous work in a professional services organization.- Familiarity with accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll principles for classifying, recording, and summarizing data, along with the ability to make computations for financial record-keeping purposes, is advantageous.- Demonstrate a keen interest in learning and leveraging technology to enhance client service delivery.- Capable of collaborating effectively within a close-knit team while also displaying independence and maturity in individual tasks.- Exhibit solid written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.- Show high motivation for personal growth and development, taking the initiative to enhance skills and knowledge.- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.- Experience with cloud-based accounting systems and tools like QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com, Ramp, Expensify, or similar platforms is preferred.
