Role Overview:As a part of the Comcast team, your primary responsibility will be to provide accounting services, prepare financial statements, and manage reporting processes. This role will involve tasks such as preparing monthly and quarterly financial analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations. Your expertise in accounting, along with your ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams, both locally and internationally, will be essential for success in this role.Key Responsibilities:- Support accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, computing tax deductions, handling indirect tax entries, processing debit/credit notes, preparing aging and disbursements reports, and managing tax information for the tax team.- Prepare and process revenue invoices and bank remittances.- Identify and manage fixed assets, oversee fixed assets ledger, and handle depreciation processing.- Ensure proper account distribution in alignment with Comcast COA and general accounting standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams locally and internationally.- Provide treasury support by monitoring cash balance positions, updating payment instructions for vendors, and managing EDPMS activities.- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entry processing, monthly accruals, accounting support schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and transfer pricing.- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements, supporting schedules, and liaison with statutory auditors and other consultants as required.- Support compliance, regulatory, and tax matters, as well as preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range plans.- Prepare variances to budget and forecast, research reasons for variances,
and offer suggestions for process and accuracy improvements.- Act with integrity, independent judgment, and discretion in significant matters.- Serve as a trusted financial advisor, communicate clearly, and collaborate with stakeholders in the US and external firms/resources.- Ensure regular attendance, including the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.- Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications Required:- Masters Degree in Accounting is preferred.- Applicants with a combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience will also be considered.- Relevant certification: Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Management Accountants.- 5-7 years of relevant work experience.Please note that the above information has been designed to provide you with an overview of the job responsibilities and qualifications required for this position at Comcast.
