Job Description: A Spray Mass Supervisor in the manufacturing of refractory ceramic products oversees the production, mixing, and quality control of monolithic spray masses (gunning mixes) used for repairing or installing refractory linings in high-temperature vessels. This role focuses on ensuring consistent product quality, optimizing raw material usage, and managing the shop floor team for efficiency. [1, 2, 3, 4] Job Description & Core Responsibilities

- Production Management: Supervise daily spray mass production, including weighing, mixing, and blending of raw materials (aggregates, binders, additives).
- Quality Control (QC): Test mixed materials for consistency, moisture content, and flowability to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Process Optimization: Monitor the spraying/gunning application process to ensure proper adhesion, minimal rebound loss, and high-density lining installation.
- Team Leadership: Supervise machine operators and workers, managing shifts, safety protocols, and productivity.
- Documentation: Prepare daily reports on production volume, raw material consumption, and equipment performance.
- Equipment Maintenance:



Ensure proper operation and maintenance of mixing machines, sprayers/gunning machines, and conveyors. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Education: Typically a Diploma in Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Previous experience in refractory manufacturing (monolithics) or steel plant refractory maintenance (5-10 years preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of raw materials (refractory raw materials), material handling, and sintering processes.
