We are seeking experienced VP-level professionals to provide senior L3 / lead support for
pan-Asia payments technology operations in the banking domain. This role combines deep
hands-on support capability with ownership of critical incident management, service
governance, stakeholder coordination, platform stability, and continuous improvement
across domestic and cross-border payment landscapes. The candidate will act as the
senior escalation point for complex issues across payment applications, AML/screening
controls, interfaces, and regulatory-driven workflows.
Responsibilities
• Act as the senior support lead / L3 escalation point for payment systems supporting
domestic and cross-border payments across APAC markets.
• Own resolution of complex production incidents involving payment engines,
interfaces, message transformation, AML/sanctions screening, reconciliation breaks,
and operational exceptions.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on payment processing flows for rails such as IMPS,
UPI, NEFT, RTGS, PayNow, PromptPay, NPP/PayID, and FPS.
• Drive root-cause analysis, defect pattern identification, permanent fix
recommendations, and service improvement actions for recurring payment incidents.
• Lead support governance including incident reviews, problem management,
knowledge management, release readiness, and operational risk tracking.
• Work closely with engineering, product, business operations, compliance, and
infrastructure teams to manage priority issues and platform enhancements.
• Support platforms such as Oracle Banking Payments (OBP), Oracle FLEXCUBE,
Finastra Fusion Payments, TCS BaNCS, or Temenos Transact, including
configuration / functional troubleshooting and production stabilization.
• Provide advanced expertise in SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022 messages, payment
statuses, exceptions, reconciliation outcomes, and downstream integration
touchpoints.
• Guide AML / sanctions / screening support activities and help tune controls or
investigate high-risk / false-positive scenarios in partnership with relevant teams.
• Mentor junior analysts / AVPs, define support playbooks, improve knowledge assets,
and strengthen shift readiness and service consistency.
• Participate in client governance calls, service reviews, audit / compliance discussions,
and change / release approval checkpoints as needed.
• Support transition, cutover, hyper care, and regional expansion initiatives for
payments technology programs.
Mandatory Requirements
• 6-9 years of experience in banking / payments technology support, production
support, or techno-functional leadership roles.
• Solid hands-on experience in one or more core banking / payments platforms such
as OBP, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Finastra Fusion Payments, TCS BaNCS, or Temenos
Transact.
• Deep understanding of domestic and cross-border payment lifecycle, investigations,
returns,
reversals, repair queues, reconciliation, and exception management.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT and ISO 20022 / MT messages, including ability to
analyze message-level defects and transaction status flows.
• Experience supporting or coordinating AML / sanctions / payment screening controls
in a banking environment.
• Demonstrated experience in major incident management, problem management,
service governance, and stakeholder escalation handling.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting using logs, transaction traces, data
analysis, and functional / configuration review.
• Experience leading production releases, stabilization, post-implementation support,
and operational readiness activities.
• Experience working in Agile / SAFe or comparable delivery models for banking
technology programs.
• Working level understanding of the regulatory payments landscape in at least one
APAC jurisdiction, with ability to interpret operational impact.
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to multiple APAC payment schemes and regional payment operations
across India, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Australia.
• Experience managing support teams, vendor coordination, or offshore / onshore
delivery for critical banking applications.
• Knowledge of APIs, middleware, batch orchestration, reconciliation tooling, and
monitoring frameworks used in payment ecosystems.
• Exposure to audit / compliance controls, operational risk reviews, and service
reporting for regulated financial institutions.
• Ability to engage with client stakeholders on service health, issue prioritization,
roadmap inputs, and continuous improvement opportunities.
