Role Description The Assistant Professor of English (Business Communication) is a full-time, in office faculty position based at the Amity University campus in Shamshabad. The role involves designing and delivering courses in business communication and related English subjects, using contemporary pedagogical approaches and industry-relevant case studies. The faculty member will prepare lesson plans, conduct lectures, tutorials, and assessments, and provide constructive feedback to help learners strengthen their written, oral, and intercultural communication skills.

Responsibilities include developing and updating curriculum materials, contributing to academic research and publications where relevant, mentoring students, and participating in departmental meetings, committees, and academic events. The role also entails engaging with industry, supporting internships or projects, and contributing to the university’s culture of ethical leadership and professional excellence. Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid English Teaching and Teaching skills for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.





Candidates should possess Curriculum Development skills, including the ability to design and update business communication syllabi and learning resources.

Candidates should possess expertise in English Literature and Literature to support related courses and to contextualize communication.

A minimum of a Master’s degree in English, Business Communication, or a closely related discipline; a PhD or progress toward a PhD is preferred.

Demonstrated classroom teaching experience at the university level, with effective use of instructional technology and learner-centered methods.

Robust written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in academic writing, professional communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to engage diverse learners, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to departmental initiatives and institutional development.

Experience in research, publications, or industry-oriented projects in communication or related fields will be an added advantage.
