Python Backend Developer

Key Purpose of the Role:

Python backend developer will design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for modern web and enterprise applications. While the primary focus is on application development, the role requires a working understanding of AI technologies including large language models (LLMs), agent-based systems, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to support integration and collaboration with AI-focused teams.

Principal Responsibilities:

Architect and develop robust backend services and APIs using Python and contemporary frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask).
Design and optimize database schemas and queries using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
Collaborate with frontend, product, and AI teams to integrate intelligent features into applications.
Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and maintainable through best practices and DevOps workflows.
Support the integration of AI-powered services (e.g., LLM APIs, RAG pipelines) into application workflows.
Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical decision-making.

Essential Skills
Python Backend Development: Expertise in building and maintaining scalable backend systems.




Database Management: Robust proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
API Design & Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
DevOps Practices: Familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment.

Overall, Skills and Experience
Exposure to AI concepts such as LLMs, agents, and RAG pipelines, with ability to collaborate on integration.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration.
Understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and system monitoring.
Ability to work in agile teams and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Essential
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of skilled experience in Python backend development and application architecture.

Desirable
Certifications in Python, cloud platforms, or DevOps tools.
Exposure to AI/ML libraries or platforms (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain) and experience integrating AI services.
Experience in cross-functional teams building AI-enhanced applications.
