Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage local/inland transportation of cargo (port-to-warehouse, port-to-ICD/CFS, door delivery)
Build and manage a reliable network of transport vendors/fleet owners across key routes
Negotiate transportation rates and contracts to optimize cost
Track vehicle movement and shipment delivery status in real time
Coordinate with Customs Clearance and CHA teams for pickup/delivery scheduling post-clearance
Ensure compliance with transport regulations (permits, e-way bills, GPS tracking where required)
Handle escalations related to transit damage, delays, or vendor non-performance
Monitor transportation costs against budget and prepare cost/route MIS reports
Requirements
Bachelor's degree;
certification in Supply Chain/Transportation Management preferred
4–7 years of experience in transportation/fleet management, preferably in logistics/freight
Robust vendor network of transporters across relevant routes/cities
Knowledge of e-way bill, GPS tracking systems, and transport documentation
Positive negotiation and vendor management skills

On-time delivery rate ≥ 95%
Transportation cost per shipment vs. budget
Vendor performance/reliability score
Transit damage/loss incidents (target: near zero)
Turnaround time from clearance to final delivery
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹31,000.00 per month
