Responsibilities
Own and be accountable for regular segmented quarterly profitability reviews (Incurred & Ultimate Loss Ratios)
IBNR forecasting
Monitor profitability and communicate trends to executive leadership
Rate indications and rate filing support as needed
Maintain pricing models (to include raters) and continued program business support
For new programs- Develop actuarial rate support for current products
Develop premium generators and raters
Provide responses to objections/interrogatories from state departments regarding rates & rate support
Conduct competitive rate analyses to ensure rate are both adequate and competitive in the market (pull competitor rate filings and compare to our new product)

Qualifications
Graduate/post-graduate with 3+ years of experience in P&C; insurance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, perform basic calculations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
Direct or indirect team management experience is a plus.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL and R is a plus.
Excellent communication skills,



both written and verbal to effectively convey complex information.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace and adapt to changing priorities.
Eagerness to learn and develop recent skills in the field of Actuarial Science and General Insurance.
Ability to plan work effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
A student member of any of the actuarial institutes but not limited to IAI/IFoA/CAS.

About you
Knowledge of Python, SQL, and Excel.
Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools (advantageous).
The ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Strong communication skills to explain complex ideas clearly.
A collaborative mindset and adaptability to changing priorities.
A student member of an actuarial institute (e.g., IAI, IFoA, CAS).
