Role Overview

This role owns the communication and SCADA/EMS integration layer within Bondada's in-house Overall System Integrator (OSI) function for BESS projects, ensuring signals and control data flow correctly between the Energy Management System and field-level plant sub-systems (BMS, PCS, RTUs, SAS).

Key Roles & Responsibilites

Technical – Integration Engineering

Support development and maintenance of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for sub-system interfaces (BESS-BMS↔EMS, PCS↔EMS, RTU↔EMS, SAS↔EMS).
Prepare signal lists and I/O mapping covering data points, alarms, and control signals exchanged between sub-systems.
Support documentation of communication architecture and protocol mapping (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus TCP, DNP3, and OEM-proprietary protocols requiring gateway translation).




Coordinate with the EMS vendor and OEMs on interface requirements and the EMS-to-field demarcation boundary.

Technical – Testing & Commissioning

Participate in OEM Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to validate communication and control interfaces before dispatch.
Support pre-integration (bench/simulated) signal testing prior to site deployment.
Support site-level signal integrity, continuity, and polarity checks prior to energisation.
Assist in integrated system commissioning and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) execution for the communication/control layer.

Documentation & Coordination

Maintain the integration risk register and track resolution of interface issues.
Support preparation of pre-commissioning readiness documentation and as-built integration records.

Qualification & Experience

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
4–5 years of experience in SCADA/EMS integration, control & instrumentation, or plant auto
