The Department of History and Political Science at Mississippi Christian University invites applications for a tenure­-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Political Science to start in the Fall 2026 semester.

Responsibilities

Teach four courses per semester, three if department chair.
Hold office hours for student advising and mentoring.
Curriculum and program development.
Participation in departmental and university governance structures.
Active involvement in scholarly activities.
Play a key role in graduate program development.

Qualifications

PhD in Political Science strongly preferred
D.P.A with qualifications to teach courses in American government will be considered
Primary field must be United States Government
Additional experience in Public Administration or Public Policy is desired
