Role Description
The US Medical Billing Specialist — Payment Posting & AR (Day Shift) is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Pune Division, with partial work-from-home flexibility. This role involves accurate payment posting from insurance carriers and patients into the billing system, reconciling daily deposits, and identifying underpayments or incorrect postings. The specialist will manage accounts receivable activities,



including monitoring aging reports, following up on unpaid or denied claims, and coordinating with insurance companies to resolve issues. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing remittance advice, updating billing records, documenting all interactions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance with US healthcare billing standards and maximize revenue recovery.

Qualifications
Solid knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with US healthcare documentation practices.
Experience working with insurance carriers, including commercial insurance plans and government payers such as Medicare.
Proficiency with ICD-10 coding and understanding of its application to billing and claims processing.
Hands-on experience handling denials, including analyzing root causes, preparing appeals, and implementing corrective actions.
