Basic Job Functions:

* Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
* Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues.
* Perform, as directed, all necessary maintenance and repair of the equipment
in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
* Identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the
achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.
* Participate in the training/upskilling of production associates and
technicians.

Education/Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED.
* Candidates must meet ONE of the following criteria to qualify:
* Associate degree in a technical discipline
* Two or more years machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function
* One year First Solar technical experience
* Six months experience as Associate EMT at First Solar and rating of “5” or
higher in all relevant EMT proficiency categories.

* Verifiable hands-on troubleshooting/repair skills
* Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.
* Valuable written and oral communications skills in English
* Able to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues on the manufacturing line.
* Able to troubleshoot and solve process issues on the manufacturing line.
* Able to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks.
* Working knowledge of common Windows computer applications (Word, Excel,
Outlook)
* Able to identify recurring issues and develop/communicate improvement
recommendations.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Solves day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
* Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment.
* Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.
* Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
