Academic/Qualified Qualification: Postgraduate / graduate in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Law
Length of Experience: 5-8 Years
Technical skills required:
Understanding data protection laws and practices, with experience in related disciplines such as information governance, incident response, and risk management.
Shall have knowledge of the company's business sector, data processing needs, information technologies, and data security.
Shall have the ability to promote data protection culture within the company.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Job Description (Role & Responsibilities):
Serve as the designated point of contact for the Data Protection Board of India and Data Principals. He/she will be responsible for overseeing the organisation's data protection strategy, ensuring compliance with the DPDPA 2023, and fostering a culture of privacy-by-design.



Define a data privacy strategy that balances innovation, compliance, and the ethical use of personal data.
Understand the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and the Rules notified in 2025, map them to applicable Company processes, and drive compliance with the Act and Rules
Serve as the single point of contact for staff members, ECL regulators, and relevant authorities on data protection issues
Assess and integrate solutions that facilitate DPDPA requirements, such as consent management. Records of Processing Activities, Privacy-by-Design, and Privacy Impact Assessment.
Deliver targeted training and drive awareness initiatives for leadership personnel, employees, vendors, and third-party stakeholders involved in processing personal information.
Manage the reporting of data breaches and thefts to the supervisory authority and ensure timely notification to Data Principals in accordance with statutory deadlines.
