Job Description for an Assistant Manager (Billing and Revenue Assurance) in Yabx

YABX’s vision is to enable enterprises to build, operate and scale Digital Financial products in markets/segments with acute credit gaps. We work with Wallets, Mobile Operators, E-commerce companies, FIs and Banks to enable them in their journey to offer Digital financial products such as lending and savings.

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Billing and Revenue Assurance to lead our billing operations and ensure accurate revenue recognition. This role involves managing billing processes, implementing revenue assurance controls, overseeing system enhancements, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and experience with billing systems, taxation, and stakeholder management.

Currently, we are working in 14+ countries globally with access to 250M+ customers for credit profiling using alternate data and digitally enhanced methods of underwriting and managing financial products.

Functional Skills





Contract Review and billing template:
Review and understand signed commercial terms in contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Create billing templates based on contract terms and get them ratified by relevant stakeholders.
Billing Closure with Customers:
Verify reconciled data and fill out billing templates accurately.
Share final billing numbers with banks and telecommunications partners, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Obtain approvals on the final numbers and facilitate the payment process.
Taxation Knowledge:
Knowledge of taxation, including VAT, Excise, and Withholding Tax (WHT), to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and laws.
Vendor/Customer Contract Compliance:
Monitor and ensure compliance with contract terms for both vendors and customers.
Address any non-compliance issues and ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Oversee accounts
