Job Description

Role Overview

The Pavement Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of airfield pavements, including runways, taxiways, aprons,



and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with international and national aviation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design of flexible and rigid pavements for:
Runways
Taxiways
Aprons
Perform pavement design using:
FAA / ICAO / DGCA guidelines
Conduct:
Pavement thickness design
Overlay design
Rehabilitation strategies
Analyze:
Traffic loading (aircraft mix & frequency)
Subgrade characteristics
Use software/tools such as:
FAARFIELD
COMFAA
AASHTO methods
Review geotechnical reports and integrate inputs into pavement design
Prepare:
Design reports
Technical notes
Drawings & BOQs
Coordinate with:
Structural / Geotechnical / Airport planners
Provide technical support during:
Construction & execution phase
Conduct site investigations and coordinate field testing activities to validate design assumptions and subgrade conditions
