About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, process-driven Warehouse Head to lead end-to-end Distribution Centre (DC) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound execution, inventory accuracy, people productivity, WMS discipline, safety/compliance, and cost controls. This role is critical to ensuring high service levels to stores/customers through robust planning, governance, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

Own complete DC operations including inbound receiving, putaway, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns processing
Plan daily/weekly workloads and ensure manpower deployment, shift planning, and productivity tracking across all warehouse functions
Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, bin discipline, stock reconciliation, and shrinkage control
Ensure strict adherence to WMS processes (receiving, location management, picking waves,



dispatch scanning) and resolve system/process deviations
Monitor SLA/TAT performance for store dispatches and customer orders; identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
Control warehouse costs (manpower, consumables, MHE, utilities) and publish daily/weekly/monthly operational MIS (productivity, losses, fill-rate, aging, damages)
Manage and develop warehouse teams including supervisors; ensure training, performance reviews, and strong shopfloor discipline
Oversee vendor/contractor operations (loading/unloading, housekeeping, packaging) and ensure SLA compliance and service quality
Ensure warehouse infrastructure readiness: layout optimization, space utilization, racking, MHE uptime, and 5S implementation
Own safety, security, and statutory compliance: fire safety, EHS practices, PPE usage, incident reporting, and regulatory readiness during audits/inspections
